Overdraft Protection Plans
Overdraft Protection/Link to Savings
Overdraft Protection links your eligible checking account with another Healthcare Financial Federal Credit Union account such as a savings account. Available funds are automatically transferred to cover overdrafts from your account, provided you have sufficient funds available in the linked account. There is no cost to enroll and it may be less expensive than our standard overdraft practices.

Unforeseen circumstances happen to all of us. And sometimes, they seem to happen at just the wrong time. Whether it is an unanticipated car repair, a mistake while balancing your checkbook or unexpected expenses, these situations can cause stress and embarrassment and can impact personal financial management.
We at Healthcare Financial Federal Credit Union understand these events can happen to all of us. That's why we offer Overdraft Services and Courtesy Pay.
ATM and One-Time Debit Card Transactions and Courtesy Pay*.
What you need to know.
When you have an overdraft as result of a debit card or ATM transaction, Healthcare Financial FCU may cover the shortfall and approve the transaction, charging you an overdraft fee. As an existing checking member, we need your consent before covering ATM and one-time debit transactions when the funds are not available.
Some financial institutions are simply denying these transactions when the funds are not in the member's/customer's account. At Healthcare Financial FCU, we are giving you the option to choose to have these transactions considered for payment.
Is consenting to Overdraft Services the right choice for you? Is Courtesy Pay?
Read about Overdraft Services and Courtesy Pay below. We want to ensure our members are fully informed when making decisions about their accounts.
